NYX Lip Lingerie Lipstick in French Maid and Seduction - Review and Swatches

With the start of new year, i am going to share my thoughts on NYX Lingerie lipsticks which i have been loving currently. Lingerie range was introduced by NYX with 12 shades before but those shades didn't appeal to me much. After wards they produced 12 more shades and i decided to try this famous formula. Let me tell you in detail why this formula got famous.

My Thoughts

These liquid lipsticks come in slim transparent plastic tube with black cap which have flat doe foot applicator. The applicator is really good and applies the product as you want. The texture of these lipsticks is creamy thick similar to NYX lip creams which feels like mousse. There is very light but strange smell to them which is not much noticeable unless you inhale it very closely. Although it fades quickly.

The shade French Maid is defined as muted mauve and it is a medium mauve shade which is the most perfect mauve for our Asian skin tones. It is very similar to my most favorite shade City color be matte lipstick in mauve. The pigmentation is very intense and in one swipe you get fully opaque color. The shade Seduction is defined as reddish brown nude and is a medium brown shade with very light orange hint to it. It is perfect nude for the ones who do not like very light brown shades. It's pigmentation is also very intense and one swipe is enough to get fully opaque coverage.

The fact i loved most about their formula is that it applies in very thin layer compared to ColourPop matte liquid lipsticks which in one swipe applies in little thick layer which often turns flaky after some time. They also doesn't get patchy if you rub lips after application like others. Both have similar formula with light weight texture. I have read some reviews about some shades giving little uneven finish but as these both are medium shades then light or dark so both give even application and doesn't turn patchy or flaky till the end of the day.

They are very long lasting as well and stay more then 6 hours without any greasy food which will remove little product from inside the lips. In above swatches i have applied these liquid lipsticks on top of lip balm and still they applied beautifully without any streaks. Once they completely dried, they have matte finish but are not uncomfortable or feels heavy with single swipe. The comfort level is very similar to my favorite Bourgois rouge edit velvet liquid lipsticks.

Overall i loved both shades and the formula of these lipsticks. They are light weight, gives even application with thin one layer and last very long.
