Maybelline ColorShow Lipsticks in Sweet Orchid and Pink PleaseThe packaging of these lipsticks are not very sturdy made of light weight black plastic. The shades covering four color range which is pink, red, purple and brown are differentiated with shiny plastic patch of their respective color in the center of lipstick tube. The texture of these lipsticks are very creamy which gives the glossy finish so if you are looking for matte finish these are not for you. Both lipsticks have very strong candy like smell which lingers for few minutes after application. I have bought two shades one from pink range and other from purple.
Sweet Orchid is from purple range which is plum shade with little red undertones. It has good pigmentation in one swipe and is build able with multiple swipes. I think this shade looks beautiful on all skin tones. The formula have little bit of shimmer in it which gives the shiny effect but is not too shimmery.
Pink Please is from pink range which is light baby pink shade with little blue undertone.. The pigmentation is sheer on one swipe but is build able. This shade will not flatter on medium to dark skins as it make them look washed out. This lipstick also have bit of shimmer in it which is not too shimmery on application.
Because of their very creamy formula their staying power is not very long lasting and stays for 2 to 3 hours on lips leaving a shimmery stain behind which doesn't look bad as well. The behavior of these lipsticks are more like a lip gloss considering it transfers very easily on any thing it touches. However considering it will be winters soon these lipsticks will be perfect for dry lips in this season.
