Korean beauty products have set the trend of layering moisturizing products, starting with light ones and water based and ending with thick ones. Now that other brands also offer wide range of essence and serums, i am always on the hunt for good hydrating product and have been using this genius aloe water by L'Oreal.

My Thoughts

The packaging is quite good with blue color bottle and pump dispenser. The product is not very runny and have texture of serum like which is bit thick but apply smoothly. It contains hyaluronic acid and aloe water which promised to provide the hydration for 72 hours. It absorbs very quickly into skin and if you mistakenly applied it on dry skin then it will feel like, you have not applied any thing at all.

How to apply essence or water based moisturizers?
The best way to apply such products is on little damp skin and followed by any thick moisturizer. This is the way how Korean beauty regime works. I have seen many complain that this sort of products just disappear on their skin and doesn't provide any hydration which is true if you don't apply them correctly. They absorbs in deeper layers of skin and if you not layered it with top moisturizer, they fade quickly from top layer of skin.

Now the question you might ask that how do you know if these products are working for your skin or not. A good water based moisturizer or essence will make your skin look plump and soft and improve the texture after few uses if applied correctly.

This product is soothing and you will instantly feel that skin drinks it up quickly if you have dry skin. I was expecting it to be little more smoothing but this is not the case. However after applying layer of cream based moisturizer, the does feel more plump and healthy. It is mentioned for the skin normal to dry but i think oily skin can also use it.

If you have very dry akin and looking for pure hyaluronic type products then this is not for you. It is more light weight and suitable for normal skin or can be used for any skin in summers. If you are interested in or like layering the products then this is very good choice. On its own, it is not very effective.
