5 Beauty Hacks That Will Make You Look Younger
1. Moisturize
Moisturization is the key when it comes to looking much younger. Moisturizer will smooth the fine lines on your face, and give you a balmy dewy finish making you look youthful and fresh. In addition to regular moisturizer, you should add something thick like a pomade. Putting this barrier between your moisturizer and your makeup will give you a much smoother finish, and avoid caking up in your fine lines.
2. Brighten Under Your Eyes
Known as the “triangle of light,” adding light concealer under your eyes will brighten and lift your under-eye area, shaving years off your face. The key is using a concealer that's at least two shades lighter than your actual skin tone. This won't just conceal your dark circles, but it will also change the overall shading of your face, bringing attention to the center, and making you look more awake and youthful overall.
3. Use Serums
Serums are your best friend when it comes to smoothing out your skin. You want to look for products that contain things like peptides and hyaluronic acid which will keep your skin plump, hydrated, and full of collagen. Look for serums that contain a combination of these products, and use them in conjunction with your moisturizer. This will help you get the most bang for your buck, improving your skin's overall texture.
4. Exfoliate
Moisturizing alone is not enough to create smooth skin. You must get rid of the old dead skin to make way for the new. That means, using an exfoliator. However, before you start abrasively scrubbing your skin, remember that exfoliation doesn't necessarily have to mean scrubbing. Liquid exfoliators will penetrate your skin thanks to its chemical properties, and your skin will shed itself without having to scrub whatsoever. Just make sure that you don't use a liquid exfoliator more than twice a week, as this can damage your skin and make it more susceptible to the sun’s harmful rays.
5. Use Retinol
Lastly, your beauty routine should contain high-quality retinol. Applying retinol is critical for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles keeping your skin young. Just remember that retinol should only be used at night unless you use a high SPF. Retinol can increase your skin's vulnerability to the sun, and you can seriously damage it if not used correctly.
Not to mention, not all retinol is created equally. You want to make sure that you buy a high-quality brand with the right percentage.
