Homemade Treatments for Oily Skin
Oily skin can cause a lot of embarrassment and hurt your confidence in more ways than one. When your face gets too oily it can cause the true beauty of your skin to take a backseat to grease and shininess. The following homemade treatments listed below will help you deal with oily skin while improving the natural beauty hiding behind all that grease in your skin.

Skin Care Routine
The first and most important homemade treatment for oily skin is your skin care routine. The skin care routine you follow on a daily basis will have a profound affect on how much excess oil your skin has to deal with each day.

1. Facial Cleanser
When it comes to a good skin care routine for oily skin you have to start off with a good cleanser. Cleansing your face once in the morning when you wake up and once in the evening before you go to bed is essential in any skin care routine. The best facial cleanser for oily skin is one that is oil-free and non-comedogenic so that it won't clog pores. Make sure you wash your face at least twice each day for the best results.

Each time you cleanse your face you are removing dirt, bacteria, and other debris that stimulates your sebaceous glands to produce excess oil. Some facial cleansers contain saclyic acid which can help draw out excess oil from the skin and leave your skin feeling normal instead of greasy.

2. Moisturizer
The next step in your oily skin care routine is to keep your skin moisturized. Especially after you get done cleansing your face you need to moisturize your skin to keep it from becoming too dry. If you skip this step in your skin care routine your face will become too dry and leave your glands no choice but to produce more oil in an attempt to protect your skin.

Look for moisturizers that are oil-free and won't clog your pores. Make sure you use your moisturizer of choice after each facial cleanse. There are also natural moisturizers for the skin like aloe vera. Aloe vera gel contains natural substances known to moisturize the skin without leaving it feeling too greasy or shiny.

3. Exfoliate
The next step in your oily skin care routine is to exfoliate at least twice each week. You don't want to exfoliate more than 2 times each week because it can really dry out your skin and cause more oiliness to be produced.

When you exfoliate regularly it helps stop oily skin by removing excess dirt and other debris known to clog pores and cause excess oil. You can find a number of different exfoliators online or at your local pharmacy.

Natural Remedies for Oily Skin
After you've cleansed your face, moisturized your skin, and exfoliated there are number of different remedies you can try using to make sure your oily skin is a thing of the past.

Some of these natural remedies include:

1. Baking Soda
Baking soda is a popular product used for various household needs. To use baking soda for oily skin you'll need to mix a little of it with some water and then massage this mixture into your face. Allow this baking soda mixture to sit on your face for at least 4 minutes before rinsing completely off.

For the best results apply this baking soda mixture no more than one time each day. When you apply this homemade recipe for oily skin on your face it helps by absorbing the excess oil on your skin so you're left with a matte finish.

2. Lemon Juice
Another great homemade treatment for oily skin lemon juice. Lemon juice works so well because it's a natural astringent for oily skin that will absorb excess oil while removing dirt and other debris from your face.

You can use pure lemon juice like a facial toner and reduce the oiliness on your skin's surface. To use this remedy simply apply a little lemon juice directly onto your skin and let it sit for a few minutes before removing with warm water. Do this at least twice each day for the best results.

3. Egg White Mask
Finally, one of the best homemade treatments for oily skin involves using an egg white mask that will help by removing pimples and reducing excess oil on your skin. Applying this egg white mask regularly on your skin will also help lighten any pigmentation you have while inhibiting the production of sebum from your sebaceous glands.

To make this egg white mask is simple. All you need to do is crack a couple of eggs and separate the white from the yolk.
Now apply the white to your face and allow it to sit for at least 3 minutes before you rinse it off with cold water. Repeat this egg white facial mask a couple times each day for the best results.
